Also fitted the front bubble window. Its oversize at the moment so that I can paint over the edges and bring it to the right size without having to worry about the seam between the plexiglass and the sail.Leave a comment:

Doing some rescribing on the hull. The further I get with this the more convinced I become that it was a mistake to put too much detail into the mold only to have it distort and have to be redone afterwards. The waterline was much too wide and even after I made it thinner, it stands out too much. Leaving it out all together would have been better.
The good news is that the prop fits well and rotates freely no matter what position the rudder is in.Leave a comment:

Today I finished the hull fitting and drilled and tapped the hole for the securing screw. The join has to filled and made good and that will take some time so fluffed around with the masts. (Never do today what you can put off till tomorrow - or as Homer Simspon said, "Nothing worthwile ever involves any effort".
Also have to re-scribe the torpedo tube doors.

I'm slowly filling and finishing the rear planes. The stern bearing is fitted and the prop is centred. The upper and lower hull now fit quite well.

The first shot out of the mold. There are a lot of tiny bubbles in the silicon which leave small inclusions in the final molded shell. Nothing too outrageous however.
