Don't you need to put the bass boat on the trailer for the winter? draining the canal will leave it in the mud!

      It's on a boat lift - high and - hopefully - dry.

Is this as low as it's going to get or is it still in progress?

I get to fish every day and have my own submarine launching beach.

Now I see what you mean about finding lost boats. The waters almost completely gone. What a neat place to live. You're a lucky man. I would think that would make fishing a problem in the summer when the canal is completely drained in the winter.

Now are you going to make your sub pens?

I have some work to do indoors, and it's VERY muddy right now, so I'm thinking I'll finish the pens in the early spring. I've moved a few boulders around, laying them around the big rock. I have a flashing lighthouse for the rock - should be fun in the summer.

Yes, we're getting a good one tonight. Snow is flying sideways! 12" forecast - mostly lake effect. Temp is already 18f.
I think I'll stoke up the log fire tonight!

I want to thank you for installing your live webcam. I check in with it at least once a week just to check out the weather there. I haven"t seen snow in a long time. It sure looks cold up there. You live in a very cool place mike.

Sorry to see all the snow going away, but knowing upstate NY you will probably be getting a lot more.
