    German Engineering

    A nice example.

Overcomplicated, indeed. Yet NO RUST or LOOSENED BOLTS anywhere!

Yes, my wife’s GLE 350. 27 recalls. Trade time. No more German cars.

Usually German cars rank in the midfield when it comes to technical problems, with asian cars in the top ranks. But I think that's not because of German engineering. We have excellent engineers (get a Porsche und you know hat I mean), but lousy project managers that want the best for cheap. Not possible....

I drive french cars (Renault), for 20 years now, and I never had big issues

There are TOYOTAS and there are the OTHER Asian cars, imo.

The only American cars I have nowadays are two that were made in 1970. I won't own any, forget about it. We have 3 Toyotas, an Audi, and a 1972 beetle. Until recently, we had 3 beetles with the oldest being 1966. Periodically, something went wrong with them, you'd get out and do something and got it running and it took you home. It was a continuous sci

When I lived in the US and needed a car, every US citizen told me not to get a US car because I'd have a hard time selling it again. So I got a used Honda Civic, 3 door, no AC, no power windows. Rendered me officially poor and was a great insurance against car theft .
