Hey Moring guys, (it's night in my country) I have a special submarine to share with you that is very unique. Italy had many WWII submarines that were particularly good looking, and today I'm talking about the Italian Navy Ammiraglio Cagni class submarine, a very large submarine, even larger than the German Type IX submarine in terms of submerged tonnage. Four submarines of this class were built and three were sunk. I think the most interesting thing about the Ammiraglio Cagni class was its armament: in addition to the two 100mm deck guns on the deck, it had 14 torpedo tubes! Eight torpedo tubes at the bow and six at the stern, all of them internally reloadable, but with 450mm caliber instead of the standard 533mm caliber, as this class of submarine was designed to deal with merchant ships and less armed warships. One thing to note is that there is not much information about the Ammiraglio Cagni class submarine, even about its plans, so the pictures I can share are limited. "The Ammiraglio Cagni was modified after 1940 to resemble a small German U-boat conning tower. It was painted in a beautiful naval camouflage of dark blue and gray. Finally, if anyone is interested in this submarine, maybe you can try to make it into an RC submarine, after all, when a group of people's submarines are Skipjack, Seawolf, Gato, VIIC, Akula, Typhoon,Blah blah blah... these common submarines, you operate a submarine that few people know about, with a unique shape, and it might make a deep impression. I wonder who would design the torpedo launching system for the Ammiraglio Cagni class submarine? It's a beast!
