I am starting a little different project that somewhat ties into what we do here! I am going to 3D Print an RC Sub-Chaser Boat. The one that I have files for is listed as the Sub-Chaser "194"! Here is the photo of that Boat!
I will be using my Predator and Dremel printers for the build! I will be using Solutech white PLA plus. This build consists of 56 parts, and when finished will be 36" long with a beam of 5.5"! The original Boats where build totally from wood (very similar to the PT Boats of there time)
If anyone is interested I have listed the web site for this type of Boats with lots of history. I am going to be working this project and my Moebius Skipjack at the same time, which means I will be bouncing back and forth on both builds. I will have lots of photos of this build as it moves forward! Bob Martin gave me the go ahead on this build, but to keep it a blog unto itself!
Note; If you go to "Patrol Craft Sailor Association" and under Sub Chaser they have a great amount of history about these Boats!
