One thing that you might consider is cutting out the bottom so everything rests on a tray. Just a thought. The only thing that might get in the way of this might be hooking up the drive shafts and linkages.Last edited by greenman407; 03-16-2011, 11:11 AM.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY! -
You're pertaining to the Mobieus model right? Isn't that particular model's hull designed to plug together? Some modelers utilize this feature to install the wtc inside the hull. They just cut off the top part of the stern to facilitate connecting the prop shaft and linkages.Make it simple, make strong, make it work!Comment

You can use both. Either a dremel with a cutting disc. You'll need to make a jig to hold the dremel at a constant height. If you don't have a dremel you can try doing it manually with a no.11 blade and some dymo tape or even a section of a metal tape measure (curved surface of tape helps conform to curvature of hull). You stick the tape along the edge of the cut as a guide. Use light strokes.Make it simple, make strong, make it work!Comment

#11, right into the seam between superstructure and hull, medium pressure passes till you punch through. No kerf, no muss, no fuss.
