What's the ideal way of storing a SD unit, with the endcaps on or off?

I open it all up. (End caps off)
Each SD has its own dedicated craddle, and a pillow case to keep dust off.
There then packed neatly into a storage cupboard.

My concern here would be the O-ring seals. Would it deform and prevent sealing if the endcap is left in for a prolonged time?Make it simple, make strong, make it work!Comment
