    I would imagine they aren't there because they aren't needed. If you look closely you will see that the 'fairing' is proud of the hull by at least 1 to 2 inches, and obviously is supported from the underneath. Therefore the water will drain quite readily as required on surfacing.

    Notice in this zoomed picture of a Skipjack (Shark), there are no limber holes in the fairing behind the sail on the deck. I wonder why? Any thoughts?
