Greenman: About the sub I said that was at Barcelona (page three of this thread), it was u573, that was interned in Spain in 1942 after being attacked by an aircraft in the Mediterranean. After war ended, she served in Spanish Navy as G-7 (changed in 1961 for S01). Was retired from service in 1970! and scrapped, though there were some (fruitless) efforts to save her. Her deck gun is at Cartagena Naval Museum (I've a picture somewhere around here, and think I've posted it in the forum some time ago).Comment

The fourth picture down is U459...a "Milchcow" supply submarine. Look how huge it is, a type 14. This one was sunk on 7-27-1943. Nineteen men were lost and 41 captured.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment
