If any of you are wondering whats going on with the Uboat that has all the Big Slices thru the superstructure and the damage to the conning tower, then the caption says that it was inflicted on U-35 by the German pocket Battleship Admiral Graf Spee. They must not have been playing nice. This happened on the 17th of June 1938. Damage was from the battleships portside screw and rudder.

So I went into "Edit" and clicked on each one of thems "large" button then hit save.
I noticed that sizing problem in the past, then when I posted yesterday they were small. Thought it was because I have been using my IPad, and not the PC

Most boats were schwartzgrau after Late 43. The camouflage schemes were dropped because after that May-June, when Doinetz lost his son, the operational orders changed, and boats were to be submerged during daylight and surface attacks were dropped, as well as the 88mm guns. u505 was that color when captured, almost all the schnell nose boats were dark as well. I would venture to guess the type XXIIIs were mostly dark as well as the Sehund and the XXIs Never could understand the snowflake camouflage. It didn't distort the silhouette, for surface targeting like the splinter stripes.

Type VIIA. In 37 was run over by a freighter. Graf Spey, ran over her during maneuvers in 38. Then same year ran into U 30, Airplane crashed into it in 39. It was Otto Kretchmers first command. Otto was almost drowned, when he was topside, the WO took her down and was washed overboard. Boat was scuttles 29 Nov 1939. Lot of famous guys at the commission picture.

The 'attached files' are what you are considering as smaller files? These are the initial files you uploaded. From them, you post them wherever you want them in your text.

If you look at the window where the mini pics are, at the bottom of the page, you'll see there is an X at top right. Click on that when you are finished and they'll go away
