Torpedoes
My hull is a 1/12th scale USS Holland submarine with a spun aluminum hull. Can I get the torpedo tube in aluminum?
Can you send me more drawings of how the propel gas tank is plumbed into the torpedo tube ?
BTW.Brilliant design!Last edited by sunworksco; 03-10-2010, 02:42 AM. -

Mike / David,
I love the photo of the 6 nested together torpedoes for the Gato,- can imagine similarities with that and looking at the back end of the tubes of a real boat.
Be sure you stick that in your info flyer Mike, looks cool.

New basic 1:72 torpedo kit $130
This basic kit works mechanically, rather than using the electronic controller and solenoid valves of the multiple systems. Using a standard servo, the Breach-block on the Launcher is retracted, releasing the weapon. A 3 position toggle switch on the transmitter is used to fire 2 launchers from one servo. i.e. left = fire #1, center = off, right = fire #2.
These Mechanical Launchers are not compatible with the Electronic Launchers with Solenoid Valves. The advantage of Electronic Launchers being the flexibility of running gas lines, and the micro size of the valves, rather than the bulkier servos and less flexible push-rods. This would be especially useful in boats like the Revell VII if all torpedo tubes were to be operated.
The Kit comprises:
1 x Mechanical Launcher
3 x Torpedoes
1 x Standard Servo
1 x 1/16" Push-rod Seal
Cost $130.00Stop messing about - just get a Sub-driver!Comment

An idea for building a rack system could be similar to lego blocks that stack up and any number of tubes can be installed up to the maximum of six.

If you like it use it.
