          Hello from Germany,

got my Skipjack this Monday after 11 days at the customs (shipping from the U.S. was faster than processing by our customs) and I must say it was worth waiting the long time since the announcements. The kit is breathtaking. Thank you for making this possible, David.

          Kind regards
          Martin

            Thank you so much, Martin.

However, credit to Frank Winspur, President and Dave Metzner, Product Development at Moebius Models. Those are the guys who took the financial risk and set the operation in motion to get this kit done. It was, and continues to be, a pleasure working with these people.

And special mention must be made by they're Art Director, Bob Plant -- he's the guy responsible for those exquisite instructions and box art. Nearly the entire appeal of the boxed kit is a result of his fine work.

Are you going to r/c this thing, Martin?

              Hello David,

yes, that's my intention. A Model that large cries for getting r/c. But that will take some time, since I have some other things to finish first. For reasons of "How will I do it?" I layed the pressure hull of my Robbe Seawolf into the Skipjack-hull and found that there is a lot of room to play with. I am looking forward to the build though it won't be too soon.

              Kind regards
              Martin

Beautiful set up on the sail planes Dave. I will be getting one for RC. Gotta get the Albacore done and get started on the Skydiver. But I can slowly start to procure stuff for the Skipjack. Only it wont be "Skipjack", itll be one of the other names. This will not be a "Me too" boat. Ill have to make mine a little different in some way. Ill have some time to think about it.
IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!

Thank you Mike and David for your work on this!
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I just put the Revell version of this great kit on hold at my LHS. Once my finances stabilize I shall order the conversion bits!

                        Cheers Bruce

G'day All, Picked up my Revell Skippy on Sunday....Just ordered the fittings kit (the Subdriver will come later..) a question do I need pushrods and connectors before I build the hull (once the fittings kit gets here) or can they be still accessed once the hull is assembled??

                          Cheers Bruce

Welcome aboard! I am building one right now. I would offer that you should wait until the fittings kit comes in or begin some of the preliminary opening of vents, cutting out things, and sail access areas. Do you have the cabal report that David created and Mike compiled? Check out my build and you will see some links to them.
