No that doesn't work. I think you're sending a link to an account that is password protected.

I don't use that photo sharing service- I use photobucket, which I find is easy to use, and easy to share with others. A free account is usually fine for most users.

You've watched the Evolution DVD just one too many times, Mark! (me too, I love that flick)

Yeah, mast-city on this bad-boy. You should see the water fly off all those masts when this beast cuts along at periscope depth. We gave 'em a good show at Groton.

Would it be possible to bore out the snort mast to make it operational in case one would like to go snorting instead of using SAS?

Yes. In fact there is room in the bore within the snorkel mast for both a LPB induction hose AND the coaxial cable of a 2.4gHz antenna sub-system if used.

Regarding the 2.4 ghz co-ax. In your thread about adapting 2.4ghz radios for rc submarines

You recommended removing the stock antenna and replacing it with a longer piece of co axial wire to get the antenna up the sail. My question is, can't you just solder the new coax to the tip of the existing antenna and shield it?

You could, but what I presented is easier to accomplish.

Here is the 1/96 BLUEBACK kit. As complete as you can get with GRP, resin and metal parts. The provided DVD contains the 60-page instruction manual.

The remaining shots are of the two BLUEBACK kit's I've worked up as the personal rides of Mike and me. Mike has little appreciation of my magnificent weathering talents, so his will be finished, 'museum quality'. Mine? I'll turn it into a disgusting rust-bucket, bird-shat-upon, weather streaked working boat. Stay tuned.

                            David,
Your black is not a straight black, what ratio or how much white do you add to give it that dark gray color?
Also if I was to go buy auto paint for the underside, what color do I ask for? (I may have to put my big boy pants on)
                            Peace,
                            tom

I shop-mix it here from black and white -- just enough white to make it a very, very, very, very, very dark gray (how's that for quantified!)

US Navy anti-foul coating, red, formula #121, is a color match done at the local automotive refinishing shop. It's a two-part polyurethane called ChromaColor, the color component is called ChromaBase and here's the color info: RS661K, spectramaster red. Produced by the DuPont company.

... Or, you can mix your own

60 pages that can mean two things:

you have included 50 pages about model making that it is not an ART but a CRAFT.....WE PEOPLE have to stay away of 3D printing and so on….; 9 pages about sanding and ; and 1 page of instructions how to assemble the kit

                                Or

You thought about all the things that WE PEOPLE possible can ****up during the assembly of the kit and tried to squeeze all that into 60 pages.......witch is a record book attempt on its own.
And you’'re now sitting back, waiting and already enjoying the moment when the first mortal comes along who dares to ask a question about the assembling of the kit so you can just respond with the following 5 letters:

                                “RTFM
                                M.”

Either way it’s a great looking kit sir.....as always.

                                Grtz,
                                Bart
