Assembly instructions for SAS SD Skipjack 1/72 model

    Sirs,

I recently purchased the SAS SD 3.5" Skipjack 1/72 model.

There are no assembly instructions included with it. While I can probably figure out most, if not all of the parts, some instructions would be very helpful. I searched this web site for downloads and the like but could only find zilch.

Actually, I have the written instructions for the old two motor SD already. I was hoping for some clues on the installation of the SAS bits. I will go back through all the threads on the development of this system for some help. I have experience with the Merriman WTC so I can probably figure it out but if I was a first time time buyer with no experience I'd probably be scratching my head right now muttering unkind words about the whole process.

Fair enough. When I get stuck, I'll ask.

But you should probably have a link to downloadable instructions for the total newb as well - just saying.

What's this? Doctor Meacham can't assemble a simple Interoceter without the Assembly Manual???....

            You disappoint!

Either the wrong servo was supplied or I'm missing something.

I have some of these older bigger style servos (on the left) in my supplies...Click image for larger version

When the snorkel is closed - sub submerged - how does the snorkel head appear?

I could make a case for either one but you probably had one of them in mind when designing this system.

Or, am I totally wrong on the whole concept?

                      Dan,

The first two pictures show how it's done right, this way the brass inlet tube will be sealed by the rubber, which is glued on the float, never ever use the method shown on the last two pictures, unless you like to swim and dive for your sub.

I think Dan is having a bit of fun with us, Manfred. Oh, these mortals are such a handful, don't you think?

Let's see........., ahhh, i''ll switch on the lightning generator, and will give him a few bursts, let's see if he likes to be carbonated, that will teach him to use my precious time.

                            Dearest Olympians,

Thank you both for replying to my little query. I suspected that the right way was the first two pix but with "He Who Must Not Be Blamed" it's always best to ask.

So I take it that I should use my older servos as well and that supplying me with smaller servos that don't fit the mounting brackets (see post #9) was just a test to see if I was paying attention.
