It has been awhile, busy times @ work, awaiting spare parts, carry out jobs around the house. yeah you are wright full of excuses to cover up I was just sitting on my butt doing nothing. I started to reorganize my workshop/basement. Installing new shelfs fabricating new worktables. I tried and managed to get the most out of the small place. Some more varnishing and boxing up to do and I'm ready to go. Work in progress.

We all have a 'Honey do" list Bart. Honey, do this; Honey, do that. etc etc. And I'm entirely OK with that - really I am (just in case you're reading this Honey).Leave a comment:

Something floated into my letterbox yesterday......this means that I have to move my ass and finish that gray thing...............……she who must be obeyed is very disappointed about it……all future domestic breakdowns will again have to be written on a to do list.
Just finished the old list….........thinking about it did you have an agreement with her?
I bet you had you SOB you

Questions,- The controller for the SD mini airpump, is it 6V / 0,5 Amp?
- Does it also act as an electrical noice reductor?

I bet your snorkel float is hanging up by vacuum -- once you start the blow at depth, air is pumped out of the dry spaces into the ballast tank, creating a partial vacuum. That vacuum is applied to the snorkel valve. If the float valve is not heavy enough to drop (once the buoyant force is gone -- broaching the sail), then you will only be getting air from the SD and eventually the pump will stall. When you handle the boat (taking it out of the water, for example) the float is joggled enough to drop and break the vacuum. And you're left scratching your head (or thinking about Tom in lip-stick, for Christ's Sake!) wondering why it took so long to blow.
Ad some weight to the float and try it again, pal.

David Help,
I took the SD out of the Sub and tested it separately.....it takes 2 minutes to empty the ballast tank completely no leakages on the vent valve....is this normal for a 2.5" SD?
According the specs of the pump and the capacity of the balast tank, it must be able to empty the tank in about 40 seconds?
I think the pump isnt working as it should be.
It explains also the why the pump isnt able to suck air out of the SD. So the sub can't break the level of the snort. I never got the wouush sound.
Batery is fully charged 7.4 lipo, charged with 3200 mA, capacity is 3600 mA.

Bart

A live WIP,
Pod is free flooding now.....in ballast trim is good....although I'm not able to blow the ballast tank empty.....will do some investigation by elimination of possibilities.

And how I'm supposed to get some sleep without terrible nightmares…..Even when Starring at the water in the bathtub doing trimming work I see Tom’s reflection THKS guy’s…..this will take a while to fade.
A quick in-between WIP
Empty ballast;
Put as much weight in her as I could add foam. Had to put the foam all the way up to the waterline to get her stability right. It's very good now, self-righting is very quick, she is very stable in the water.
In ballast:
was almost perfect without doing anything......her ass was slightly to light......she was floating on the towed array pod, I have to make the towed array pod free flooding…..good thing I didn’t glued the sucker in place yet.
Grtz,
Bart
