In the series ,the only Skydivers I ever saw were Skydiver 1 and Skydiver 3. Number 3 was destroyed in the episode "Psycobombs". I never heard mentioned on the show how many were there. With that in mind, Which one are you building?

The first one I made was Skydiver 9, It was painted in Steel grey as a base and the other normal colours, I liked to be different, lol. The one you see on the website was Skydiver 8, Interestingly there was a mention of Skydiver 4 in one of the episodes, I think in Ordeal but dont quote me.
As for this one I guess it will have to be the 1........or I was thinking 3a, the replacement for the one blown up.

The No 9 was made in 1992 and had home made water jets made from Plumbing pipe and cut down boat props, It also had working dive planes (Ailerons) and rear planes inbetween the engines and hull, Unfortunately at the time my base Knowlage of boyancy and such was pityful (Much like Now lol) and only made a effort to dive.

Cockpit and Pilot done, just a control column to do, Note a partial homage to the original headrest with the use of a slightly shortened scammel bit.

Just behind the headrest is a chassis part from an Airfix 1/72 scale Scammel truck, It was used as a part of the headrest on the 2 foot stand alone Sky1 so I used it as well. As mine is a tad smaller I had to cut it down a bit.

OK , when you said scammel bit, I was thinking that you were referring to some sort of new drill bit.

Settle a debate for us please!!
We are sitting her in Jolly old England trying feverishly to remember what tv show that sub appeared on - and no one can remember it!!
                    The suggestions so far ar:-
                    1) Captain Scarlet
                    2) UFO
Please put us out of our misery!

                      Nige,
Check this link out and the question will be answered:
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I can't wait. Feel like a kid who can't wait for school to start.

You wanted to go back to school!! I couldn't wait for it to finish... In hind site my sentiments on school could have been differant. But I understand the sentiment on this sub & seeing how it will be painted and how it will look.
                              Cheers,
                              Alec.

                                Hi Guys,
Here are a few images of the original 2 foot beauty model of Sky 1, luckily Phil Rae the model's owner loaned it to me for a measure and photograph session. The colour used was Ford Oyster Gold Metallic.
