    Hiya, Matt!!

Can you see what's preventing the prop shaft from going in any further??
You may be able to just shorten the motor end of the shaft a bit so the prop hub
sits right up against the strut tube.

The way it is, it might create a little unwanted cavitation!? Not sure how critical that is with a model sub,
but probably not a good thing with a 1:1!!

Sigh... So I got them on but one side is not as far on as the other and I really don't want to try to get those suckers off with that super glue. Will that mess with the performance any?

Flat face aft, curved face forward. Duh!

R.H turning to starboard, L.H turning on the port side.

Sounds like you're almost there, Matt.

Mine is about 40% forward and 60% reverse (to get me out of trouble- like walls of a pool!) The changes are not just for trim, but for running. Even at 40% (and I have dialed it back from 50% originally set) because this sub has so much power with those two props and WAAAY to fast - read get into trouble quickly. While trimming out the sub in your tub or favorite watering hole, try running it (while holding it with your hand) at 100% you will see what we mean.

... start with 30% -- 30%. You may want to keep it there after flirting with more throttle. I did.

The two 380 motors, geared 3:1 in the stock GATO SD provide way, way too much torque for that boat (better too much than too little!).

Went with toms suggestion this time. Little more expensive but they have about twice the pull strength.

every freaking time i touch my sub now i break something small on it. I mean its been every damn night! <\rant>

Question for you David (i guess for anyone that knows really), earlier you mention trimming back my throttle to 30% both directions. Is that just for trimming out the sub or is that how i should always have my throttle at?

    thanks everyone

There are many places you can get them, I use http://www.rare-earth-magnets.com/p-10-nsn0572.aspx
The inside diameter I use is .125" with a little lathe, Dremel, or drill you can shave down a brass tube to fit (and you will need to)
