Stand By For Action! - Gerry Anderson STINGRAY

I'm pleasantly surprised at how well this build came together, despite it never being a real submarine.

This was based off the Beck's Model Marine kit offered a while back, and was commissioned by the customer that bought the model kit through me. The hull needed a LOT of work to get looking good, including an entirely new cockpit and set of fins.

We had her out to the Top Secret Test Facility yesterday and it performed beautifully, if I do say so myself. No speed demon, and it takes a minute to turn around, but all in all, I'm exceptionally happy with it. I hope to have it out to the Fitz Float next weekend if the customer will let me keep it that long.

A full overview video should hit within the next 48 hours...

Well done, sir! A major challenge accepted, engaged, and achieved. No small, simple project this! Looking forward to the video.

That really is amazing looking under the water. You did a great job on this Bob! Just simply WOW.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Gorgeous! Especially like the illuminated pump jet. Garry Anderson would have said damn why didn't we think of that? lol

            Very well done.
Of the approximately 40,000 men who served on U-boats in WWII, it is estimated that around 28,000 to 30,000 lost their lives.
