Increase the 'crease' between turtle-back and hull. Scribe a line in there.

The vertical line on the sail at the trailing edge -- just before the leading edge of the dorsal rudder -- and the trailing edge of the dorsal rudder are not straight lines. Fix them. I can't see it, but I bet you also buggered up the leading edge of the sail too!

Start using a sanding block damit! You're rounding off corners. You're free-handing it with the sandpaper, aren't you, race-boat-boy!?.....

Finish the damned thing, already! You're milking this project.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. Yeah, I divide my time and energys on more than one project at a time to help keep me enthused and motivated. If I was retired, I would have more time. A more than full time job leaves only small amounts of time. But , we will continue to plug away at it.

Now look at what youve started Dave. I was just going to do a little bit but then I couldnt stop. I trimmed it out with the Dremel Multi-max all the way up to where it disappears into the hull. Now we will mix up some filler and sand that down to a sharp corner.

Love the clam-shell hatch (Manfred is getting to you too, I see).

Take a diamond-section jeweler's file, heat and bend the tip a bit and use that to take out the radius. Finish up with a square-section file likely bent to finish up tightening that union between turtle-back and hull. Looking good, Mark!

What I could do is cut in the slit as you said and then wipe in filler to a sharp corner.

As Sergeant Shultz would say: IMMEDIATELY ERR COMMANDANT..........IF NOT SOONER! In the meantime, take a look at this. Installed Bridge Doors. Now ya gotta admit, its not everyday that you see something like that. Dont forget to prime them Mark.

Looks pretty rounded to me. And I'm the so-called expert here, damit!

OK, OK ... no slit. But a hard, almost right-angle, transition between turtle-back and hull. Get to it!

    Execute!

It is, however quite obvious that the Turtleback sides on the Full size Albacore are vertical where it meets the hull and more rounded, whereas the Models Turtleback is sloped.

Looking good, Mark. Take a razor saw and cut in the slit between turtle-back and hull -- get rid of that radius, it's an artifact of the plastic-over-plug vacuforming process. Use those great reference photos you've unearthed, damit! That's what they're for!
