Adding more details on my U1. The conning tower got its signal horn, the little platform between the periscopes, rails and struts. Quite a job to get everything straight and parallel. The rear section was equipped with exhaust tubes and the push rods for the rudder. Finally the bow was equipped with its towing point. Starts to look like a real submarine…

Applying rivets on my 1/48 scale submarine S.M. U1 from 1906. I made a tool to help me to get straight lines marekd on the curved surface of the fuselage. Worked out quite well. After that I started applying 1/48 scale aircarft rivest surface details by Archer Fine Transfers. Starboard is done, about 12-15 meters of rivets. Those will be sealed under a caot of primer and than port next....

I applied about 15 meters of rivet decals by Archer Fine Transfers, applied two layers of Tamiya fine grey primer finally I aplied the base colors, light gray on top, and a dark anthracite gray for the bottom of the boat. Went well, I'm happy.
