    Thank you sir.

    Latest progress.

I continue to work on detailing the sail. David has been resin printing additional parts and making improvements to existing ones. I just completed adding lights. They are super micro LED's so I was able to keep them from being too bulky and actually look like they should.

Another update. Tonight I got the handrail added that goes around the sail. Aside from a couple small bits the brass work is mostly done.

I got the deck detail added. This extra kit that David got for it was a good decision.

It is a Bancroft 1/72nd Fletcher class. I got it from Motion RC

Someone needs to bring a printer to the Subfest in September and give us clueless folks a lesson.

I hope you'll keep the documentation up once it gets to the nasty bits: connecting the rudder, props and elevons

Those are the parts I always struggle the most with.

Today I got the resin printed guns and other detail parts from David who I am building this for. I also got the ladders made. It's progressing nicely.

Following with interest. I have a SS 1/48 type IX hull that will get attention, someday, always nice to get motivation.

Moving right along. The sail lower deck rail is now on it. I used some fine wire to secure the upper rail to the lower rail for soldering.

Thanks Rob! It's possibly one of the more tedious parts of the build. The stanchions that came in the kit were intended to secure straight down through the deck but they mount on the side on a type IX so I had to remake every one from scratch. If I can sort out the sail lower deck rail with the hand rail that goes around the sail I will be home free.

The sail lower deck rail is next. Note: I have not yet mounted the hull rails. They are just sitting on the hull in the last photo.
