    RC submarines built from Scratch

These are two RC submarines that I build while in high school with the help of a bench lathe and mill and lots of birthday and holiday money.

The silver one has a dynamic diving mechanism (aka: piston tank)

Will try to post video of submarines in pool.

The silver one looks like a Flash Gordon ship.
Can you share some technical infos about your subs.
BTW, piston tanks belong to "static" diving system.
Make it simple, make strong, make it work!

You are correct. Static was the word I meant.

      Technical Data:

      Silver Sub:
      Length: 12"
      Weight: 5lbs

Uses two Direct Drive 250 motors
Axis where motors are mounted pivot and allow the sub to roll and do some fun tricks.
Max diving depth limited by RC transmitter
Uses automatic level to bring sub back to horizontal.
Really simple and easy to use.

      Black Sub:

      Same size as Silver.
      Detail seen in pics.

Sure just get a whole bunch of parts and do whatever the heck u wanna do with em. But i like to customize stuff i already bought. Like i found this really old tonka truck thing and i took it apart and put a small electronic motor on it and different parts and now it looks like a sportscar mixed with a monster truck.
