Bambu X1-C Color Printing with the AMS

I am here in the 3D Printing forum of Nautilus Drydocks where I can share my involvement with the Bambu AMS and color printing projects.

I have purchased the Bambu X1-C printer with the AMS. I also added a second AMS to my system with a third AMS on the way. When complete I will be able to print with a total of 12 different colors.

At the present time I am working on a replica of a Human Torso. This particular project requires 8 different colors.
I will be posting to this site as the project moves along.

Can this system be used in Submarine building!? Who knows! Just let your imagination and creativity flow...

Along with the back you can see the rib cage and the lung tissue. This done using pink and white filament. The back photo used a Red/pink and white filament.

This photo shows the front portion of the model prior to me applying the colors to the interior. The process of painting (NO paint brush or paint) just using Bambu Lab and your mouse. The photo below shows the finished product (After roughly 5 hours of mouse painting) and before for slicing for printing.

I realize a lot of you would just say why go through all this and just paint it. Or some may say why do it at all! Well for me its all about the 3D Printing process and the new TechKnowledge that changes with it..

Can't forget to leave out the by-product (Poop) of this process of creation. There is a certain amount of filament waste, and it does add to the print time, but if you are into 3D Printing as much as I am it's a welcome process to achieve the final results.

The above YouTube video that I took shows my printer in action. Stay tuned if you are interested...
