Great video Manfred. I have layed up fiberglass full size boats and surf boards as well and know the messit makesl. The worst part is the sanding and grinding the final product. Even wearing a taped up paper hazmat suit the itchy particles get me for awhile after. Did you know that the majority of the taxidermy shops that make the fish mounts for trophies ude the same proces, except the original plug was a real fish. Now,when an angler catches a articular fish and wants the mount for his wall, they just go in the store room and pull the mould for that fish the size the angler caught. When the gelcoat is popped off, they fill the inside with liquid foam. Air brush artist finishes it off. -
Thanks guys,
Never knew that about the fish Von, people can be lazy, fish has to be eaten, not stiffed, hanging on the wall
And yes, building hulls means a lot of elbow grease, the cost is not that high, but the labourtime will bring you down, i estimate for this hull about 12 hours, multiply that by how much a hour will cost you, and your customer will be a poor man left with a garage kit, which completely has to be build up from scratch.
Enough talking, enjoy the new vid,

It is fun to see M when he is excited about a subject because the detail nut in him comes out. So, I look forward to the time he does get to work on the V80. It will be a great WIP.
Until then, get to work and get that Albacore done and what ever else that needs to be finished so you have some free time.If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.Comment

Guys,
For now the V80 is on travel to the United States, it will take a week or so, before she will show up under David's eyes, for now it will be a one off spin, never had the intention to build more V80 hulls.
I was wondering how i could please David with a gift, like many of us now, if there is trouble, he yankes his email adress on the forum, with the words, I'LL FIX YOU UP, so this time i decided to fix him up with some hullparts of the V80, i hope it will give him as much a fun as i had with my build.
Inside will fit a 2,5" SD or even a 3" SD, much easier than using a dryhull, i'm still pleased with mine, nice boat to run and fast when needed, turningradius a nightmare above the surface, but once underwater she has a different twist, i'll let David find out himself.
I hope he will start his thread soon before building the hull, so i can tease him with more info about this boat.
