Thanks for your vote of confidence in HardRock George - Some how I get the feeling that a long time ago in this community may actually predate the widespread use of the internet!

I'm actually chasing ideally a Robbe U31 (type 212) to complete my collection of Robbe subs (you gota have a hobby, and lets go for a subset of a fringe - which is RC subs - just to make it fun). However I really like the 212/214 and am happy to look at any other brand of the same type of sub - so if anyone knows of one lurking in a dark spot, I'd love to hear of it.
