For Sale NIB Tracker III Radio

    Hello

Well I`ve decided to sell off some of my shelf radios that I will NEVER use. I have a Tracker III from Polk`s Hobby, when they Sold the 75mhz Radio. IT does NOT have the receiver BUT everything else that came with it is there. I can`t speak for the condition of the battery pack But as you can see from the box, it was a shelf queen, NEVER was out of the box.

I would like $175.00 U.S PLUS shipping OR BEST OFFER and in person pickup is o.k with me. I accept paypal as well. Since I live in Canada, I have NO problem shipping to the States BUT shipping is Costly.

Here are some pictures I took of the radio and it`s box.

    Thanks for looking.

The Polk's Tracker-3 r/c system was the best thing out there for the r/c submariners. The only thing wrong with the gear was the terribly written manual -- so hard to read and apply to the computer transmitters many features. I have two of the things to this day and love 'em.

A number of years ago I arranged a group photograph of r/c model submarine drivers. I asked them to hold up their Polk transmitters for the shot. Just before clicking the shutter the photographer shouted out, "what do you guys think of the manual??" This is what he got in answer:

I've got a Tracker III.. It's been a good radio. The included, Seeker 8-channel receiver caused servo jitter for me. I've used a Futaba 8-channel receiver instead, and don't get the servo jitter with that..
I bought the Tracker for sub use, but ended up using it more for a 1/16 Tamiya Tiger tank. If I can get some subs in the water, I can use it for what I originally bought it for..

Yes, it can. Mine was originally 72. I sent it to Polk to be converted to 75. That was 6 years ago though..
If I recall correctly, the Tracker was designed to be an Aircraft radio. Any 75 units, we're just converted from 72 by Polk.

So, short answer, yes. But, whoever is attempting to convert it has to know how to do it properly.

I am thinking there should be more used 72 Mhz than 75 Mhz transmitters on ebay or the like.

Absolutely! 72Mhz is far more common to find.. Aircraft are the darlings of RC vehicles.
