It's been a reliable printer for me over the years, but I'm letting it go for newer technology. The accordian-style gantry seal at the top was removed due to the adhesive coming loose, but I honestly never understood the point of it anyway. The only issue it has is the main power switch, which is behaving erratically. Five minutes and a $0.25 rocker switch will have that addressed. It still works now, but you sometimes need to rock it a few times to take power.

Makerbot has their own proprietary slicing software, which you can download for free. It is exceptionally easy to use and does result in very good prints.
