Broken pitch fin on D&E Skipjack

While working on my 1/96 D&E Skipjack I noticed that one of the pitch plane fins has a broken outer hinge pin holder. Looks like the lower half of the small fin extension that holds the outer hing pin just broke off. What are suggested ways to repair this tiny piece of the outer hull?

Dip the good side in silicon. Let it dry. Peel off. Cast and assemble on other end.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Do what he said, it is much simpler than what I said.

I think I got it fixed for now. Super glued a metal plate made of aluminum flashing to the edge of the fin, then applied CA glue to the broken area, let it dry and drilled a hole for the hinge pin. Looks like it will work for now. I can paint it later.

This Metal end plate is working fine so on to the next issue. Control fin travel and yoke alinement.
