This boat hull is made in Canada by A.C. model boats as a mono hull which is the traditional boat hull shape. Its proper name is the Wave Slave. In this case however it is of a shallow vee design which many believe is the fastest of the mono hull designs. This is the only boat that I own that I am actually afraid of. Afraid you say, why? Because the boat is sized and designed for a 3.5cc glow engine that produces somewhere around 1.25 to 1.5 H.P. Well I, on the other hand installed a 7.5cc engine producing around 3 H.P. It is a white knuckle ride all the way. It is a ballistic missle. In order to keep it on the water I had to angle the prop down 3 to 4 degrees and bend the trim tabs down and use twin turn fins and its still a hand full. Why dont you take out that engine and put in a 3.5? Not on your life, its too much of an adreniline pump.

Here you can see how you start it. There is a belt that goes around the flywheel that stays with the boat. Here you can see the water cooling pickup set behind the propellor to pick up water sprayed by the prop.Last edited by greenman407; 01-27-2012, 01:36 PM.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY! -
Here are some better views of the business end of the craft. You have a large turn fin on the starboard side ,since all race boats in the US turn right, but it also has a small one on the left to help a little bit. The large trim tabs are a must when running this much power. They help to dampen out chine walking and to increase or decrease turning sensitivity. Also, and most importantly they help you control the boats attitude in the water by keeping the bow down. I incorperated a very novel water cooling system in this boat. That we will save for next time.Last edited by greenman407; 01-27-2012, 01:37 PM.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment

About 4 or 5 years ago I was running in the east Tampa Swiftmud canal with it and all of the sudden,,,,,,,,KABLAMMMM , I hit something just under the water. A Gator or a Turtle, I dont know but the boat jumped out of the water on impact and kept going but without rudder control. To my dismay I had also lost throttle control at that exact instance! So I couldnt shut it down and I couldnt steer! It was heading at about 1/2 throttle toward the far bank! Oh No! IT hasnt got a flaw in the gelcoat(not yet)!! Quickly experimenting with the steering I found that if I turned hard right it would spin out. I did the only thing that a sane man could do in the circumstances. I just kept spinning it out. It finally died thank God! I rowed out to get it and could then see what all the hubub was about. The rudder , which is of the safety foldup type(to keep from ripping out your transom in case of collision) had done its job , it had folded up so at full deflection it presented the widest portion of the rudder to the water, hence the spin out. You never know what may be lurking just below the surface. Keep your wits about you and keep a steady bubble. The End.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment

This weekend I thought that I would take a more in depth look into her. You can see all of the stern hardware from here.Twin turn fins and the water pickup that gets its water from the prop spray. This picture shows the other water cooling pickup. To the right of the drive line you can see a brass tubing that a piece of hose is attached to. That tube is set in the hull at a very shallow angle and comes out on the bottom of the hull about 4" further on, perfectly flush with the bottom. You can just see it. That is all free water, it costs us nothing(no drag). From this shot you can see where it goes, The hose then attaches to a exhaust cooling header, right in the center of the picture and is then plumbed overboard.Last edited by greenman407; 06-12-2014, 05:03 PM.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment

The twin fuel tanks are easily seen here.
Also in view in this shot is the rubber isolating motor mount.
And last but not least, an over the shoulder view, from where you hope to see your competition.Last edited by greenman407; 01-27-2012, 01:40 PM.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment

I am currently upgrading the fleet with either FM or 2.4 ghz radios. No more AM sets. They have had there day. I lost one boat to radio problems and numerous other near misses over the years but a recent episode moved me to action.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment
