And another thing. Youll be making good use of your hemostat clamp that I mentioned earlier. Not only do you need it to clamp off the fuel hose to the engine thats not running , during starting procedures, but youll also need it to clamp off the fuel hose that goes to the engine that its fuel hose you are NOT using to siphon fuel out of. In other words when you go to empty the fuel tanks for storage you pull one of the fuel hoses off one of the carburators and siphon thru that. If you dont clamp off the other fuel line to the other carburator, you will get no suction because its basically open to the atmosphere. CAPEESH? Just a little FYI.

After previously determining that 14 ozs. of weight in the nose was needed I settled on 10 ozs. This because adding weight to your boat is not a desirable thing. Also because I have the two motors trimmed negative, so that means that the props will be exerting a downward force on the nose. We will start with that and see how she shakes out. Next, lets tape off the fuselage and put on some interesting colors.

Just an update. I found sometime to mask off and do some painting on the fuselage. NO YOU CANT SEE IT YET!! Wait tell Ive got a little more done. You know, masking and painting, masking and painting. I want it to look fast, even standing still.

The time is here. Its still a work in progress but youll get the general idea. Ive decided that I dont like the "wood look" of the hull so itll need to be painted as well.

Thanks. I dont know if you can tell so im posting an earlier unpainted fuselage. Notice that the red stripes are highlighting an existing hull detail. The silver and black is also highlighting the shape of the hull.

Started on the main hull painting. Also been doing research on props for her. I know that prop walk is going to be a problem. Shoot........Ive got single engine boats that prop walk is a problem. Once I find that standard race prop size that works, I can go from there. I can choose one that is smaller in dia. but larger in pitch, depending on whats available, to minimize the prop walk.

The last two pictures are with the application of some peel and stick stickers. I dont want to make the boat look too "Busy" with too much stuff on her so I will limit the decorations to this. Just enough to accent her beautiful lines........"Ya know what I mean there Verne"?

The motor on the starboard side is vintage, way down on power, compared to the other one. I bought another one off of Ebay to replace it, that way Ill be getting the same power out of both instead of a mismatch.
