    The above posted picture is a Mig-15 engine being used to blow off debris and other unmentionables from the flight deck of a Russian aircraft carrier. It doesnt stop there. In fact the Russians have a whole fleet of these vehicles for use on land as well, to blow snow off of runways and to de-ice the wings of aircraft. Whodathunkit?Click image for larger version

        There's a basic pragmatism you see in Russian engineering. Not afraid to copy what works. Yet, able to take what's at hand and employ it in, what was up to that time, an unthinkable application.
