very new to this

Hi all, my name is Chris and I love subs.

My silly question is, "how do I make a hull for the sub I want to build?"

The sub I would like to build is a Japanese 2 man sub in 1/16th scale, It will have a diamiterof 4" and a length of 54" tapering down to each end as per photo,
How and what can I use to build this(the easy way) or where can I get one pre made.

Chris, take a look at my thread "Modeling the Last of the forty-One For Freedom". I used pink foam and basic shop tools to start my USS Will Rogers. Hopefully you'll find some help there. This model is for display only but I've used the same tools and foam to build a fiberglass model for RC. Good luck on your project.

Love your work, and very well explained. Tell me how do I get the pink foam out after I have glassed it?

The easy answer is: "The hard way". I've never done the "lost foam method" which requires cutting, scraping or whatever necessary to get the foam out. I've seen threads on it and it's messy and time consuming. What I did after glassing the foam was make a two piece silicone rubber mold of the "master". Once the upper and lower halves of the rubber mold cured I fiberglassed upper and lower halves using several layers of glass. I consider myself just a beginner at fiberglassing. Take a look a David Merimans' posts, he's an expert at this.

I am not exactly one hundred percent sure but I think you can dissolve foam with acetone and leave fiber glassed pieces intact. I am not sure of this but I think it is an option, will someone either confirm or deny this?
