              Shamrock,

Looks like you used epoxy to hold the brackets to the end cap. Is that correct or did you ues hardware and epoxy?

                g2tiger:

This is a picture I boothleged of the Internet. It's how I did my forward dive planes. See where the rod attaches to the sides of the hull. Then the pivot arm can swing freely. It works very well.

Shamrock will probably be along soon. He's on almost every night even if he's off shore working.

hi guys .pj is wright here just about every night even in the gulf if. platform is flowing.i did the rod thing at first but it was a pain in the ass. the rod got in the way of dog bone drive shaft.found two brakets in tool room on lower deck.sordered two small cotter keys to them ran the rod through them and used epoxy to hold them to rear bulkhead. makes pulling sub driver out a lot easier.trust me

                    Shanrock,

Sounds good. I was looking over some brackets I have sitting here on my desk. I'll give it a shot. I noticed you also extended the control arm. I made mine about double the original length. I can always trim it down.

yes sir the longer the arm the more throw you get .love my gato wish they would let me bring it to work but its to big to fit on the bird i asked already.water is so clear out here. would be so cool to run between the legs on platform.

                        Shamrock:

Been fishing out there by the rigs. There's things that would think your Gato was dinner. Especially around the legs of the rig.

I had a friend that was a diver. Lived down the street here in Slidell. He was afraid he'd lose his spear gun so he attached it to his wrist with heavy fishing leader. Shot a big old fish around the legs of a rig and dive team never saw him again. True story. The Marine Gunny across the street ended up marring his widow.

The signal won't punch through salt water.
