You are brilliant and have many great ideas, you just need to put them into action by your hands. I really look forward to you running your own sub. You have everything you need don’t you for the Kilo?
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

First part of your post, yeah.

Last part of you post, hell no!

You've done this forum years of good, Romel, sleuthing out useful information dealing with sources of product and topics of historical import -- stuff I find interesting and sometimes useful to me as I improve my Craft.

But when it comes time to deal with Newbie's -- those contemplating making that first r/c submarine -- we need not fill their heads with advanced subjects; subjects that would, very likely, add excessive complexity to an already complex task.

As I see it my job here is to evaluate and guide people in the pursuit of achieving that 'first' r/c submarine. In support of that I give specific advice as to subject and means of assembling that subject into a working, enjoyable r/c submarine. I have the credentials to do that. I've walked the path -- I've made all the right and wrong moves in achieving the status of 'expert' in this game. You have not.

Bottom line: When it comes to guiding the newbie, defer to my guidance when I elect to give it, as well as the guidance of my peers.

So, Romel, keep those opinions and suggestions going. But be mindful that the newbie out there is an empty slat, easily distracted because he simply does not know any better. Don't saturate the uninitiated with left-field advanced ideas and subject matter that will not aid the newbie as he cobbles together that 'first' r/c submarine.

Crawl, stumble, walk, run, jog, sprint. In that order.

The newbie must first crawl to get that first win under his belt. So enheartened, he'll advance from there. We do him a disservice when we push him to sprint the moment he joins this forum.

ABS is a swine to print without warping and splitting if you're using an open bed printer. Try and rig a draft shield around the printer and ensure any cooling fans keep air away from the print.
