    BLM Issue?

Hi everyone, when I power up my sub driver, the BLM doesn’t light up at all, doesn’t respond to the radio at all, however the pitch controller works as does its servo. It was working yesterday, not sure what’s up. Any of you have similar issues before?

    thanks for the advice all.

Did it once work, but does not now? Do you have the polarity correct on the bus side of the BLM?
    Who is John Galt?

Hi there. Yep, was working the day before. I programmed it, setup was good, tested to make sure it blew the ballast several times. I’m in the process of trimming, All most done. When I turn it on via the magnet switch I hear a slight servo twitch, but no lights on the BLM at all. I hadn’t changed anything since the other day. Was thinking i’d remove it next, but figured id raise here first.

OK, sounds like a glitch trashed all your set-up's. Go through the set-up protocols again and see if that puts it right.

So powered up the SD, adf and stern planes servo works, nothing else. No leds on the BLM, not response from the transmitter. Then all of the sudden a hear crackling…. Speed controller fries itself…. Would a messed up speed controller stop the receiver and blm from working? Tested the the servos and motor independently. Not sure off hand how to rule out the receiver.

Turns out it was a dud ESC, actually two mtromiks I had both burned up. After chatting with Bob I’m switching to Hobbywing. Waiting for a new one….

I've had nothing but bad luck with Mtroniks ESCs. The exploding issue from about, what, eight years ago has reared its ugly head. I'm a fan of the Hobbywing 1060 now.
