    Overfill Switching???

Ok, for some reason, this has me flummoxed.
If a sub has a bag , with an overfill micro switch, once the switch is tripped and therefore the pump is turned off, how do you then bypass the switch, so that you can restart the pump to empty it the bag??

Put the second switch in parallel with the first switch. Duh!

Is making it a three-position switch an option, Kim?

There are a couple of ways of doing this, all from a single channel. method used depends on the type of pump used. Are you using a reversible pump?

If you add a diode to the overfill switch, it can shut off current flow in one direction but allow you to flip the switch and drain the bag when using a reversible pump. This is what rc subs out of Hong Kong does.

Yes- I posted this in tips and tricks a short while back-its a different system but the blocking diode works the same (instead of a pressure switch insert your limit switch Click image for larger version

Holy crap....lookit that. Just to add, my pump is reversible peristaltic. I would prefer not to have to use a pressure switch if possible.

As I am using a bag, I dont think that I can use a float switch, Im sorry Bob, you spent time with the great, easy to understand illustration. So any ideas on Bag switching??

Lets start from the beginning...this diagram might be easier...

Any configuration of switching is available.
