Motor issue in my Skipjack

The blue round donuts are ferrite rings used in my Engel Akula that I am working on. The practice is you wrap your wires (power or servo cables) around the ring 2 - 3 times. Then the Pixie Magic happens, it filters out high frequency noise. Here is a explanation from Wikipedia - "First, the ferrite concentrates the magnetic field, increases inductance and therefore reactance, which impedes or 'filters out' the noise." There clear as the muddy Mississippi river.

Hi Phil, the ferrite ring is the grey ring that sits near the red positive lead coming out of the esc. I wound it round until the connector was close to the ferrite ring then made up an extension to run it down the PORT side and in front of the servos to the STBD side into the Rx. I have cable tied it down to stop it moving about. I included the esc wires as they were touching the control rods.

Thanks Trout and PhilC, I normally build warships, this is my first sub. I am a newbie to the sub world. Got a bit scared when Scorpion first went under, feel a bit better when I get the depth driver as well.
Next will be a type VIIC then a British sub. Little way off yet due to my 1/72 USS Constellation needed to be finished.

I get the scared part. I still get knots in my stomach especially with my Skipjack. Even dialing down the max the forward speed, the Skipjack just loves to go once underwater. After a couple of laps, I begin to relax a bit.
