    R9M withTaranus 2019XD for subs?

Is there any reason a Taranus 2019XD with the R9 900mHz module would NOT make a good submarine radio? My understanding is that the sub would be running constantly on 900 MHz whether submerged or on the surface because switching between frequencies is done manually at the transmitter. (ie not redundant). For this reason I’m wondering if there’s any limitation to using 900 MHz on the surface? The only other limitation I can think of would be the battery power which would depend on how many mW you’re sending out at 900mHz. The module itself does have the ability to have an external battery hooked up.
i’m trying to decide if the R9 will suffice or if I need to bite the bullet and go for the FrSky X18 tandem. Thank you in advance for any input.

First off, a small point of order. Please don't spam the forum with multiple posts of the same question. One question, one topic, please.

In regard to your question, I can't see any issue with running 900mhz constantly. I'm not familiar with the Taranis, but the X14 Twin FrSky radios are set up for 900mhz only and work perfectly.

I don’t follow. I did not intentionally “spam the forum”. I’m guessing you are referring to this sequence:
      1) I posted in a different area.
      2) I realized it was not in the correct area and deleted the CONTENT.
      3) I created the above post instead.
      4) I am not aware any way to delete the ENTIRE post (as I am new and still learning about this forum).

I do not know of any other manner of handling this. As far as I am aware the question is only posted once - right here (not in multiple “spammed” posts).

Could you please clarify what you are talking about so I can avoid this in the future? I’m guessing the problem is I did not delete the first post in its entirety? Thank you.

I didn't mean to get your hackles up. You had two identical posts in two separate areas of the forums. You said you deleted your duplicate content, but it was still there when I deleted it.

No worries at all. This isn't a big issue. I'm just trying to keep the forums clean.
