        Mr Merriman:

With help from you fine gentlemen, I'm hopeful that I can steer the pious path of righteous kit assembly. Avoiding the many sins, apart from coveting the beautiful 1:144 trumpeter Kilo conversion kit on the website that is. ;)

        Subculture and Rogue Sub:

Those Akulas look beautiful and are hard acts to follow, but I'll do my best.

The offer of a build partner is great Rogue Sub. Any advice is always welcome.

        CT.

Could I ask where you guys are ordering these Akula's from? Just in case the economy ever straightens out...

            Angus,
I heartily endorse and echo the other comments on the brilliance of the D&E 3.5...
With no experience or ability besides want-to, I retrofitted a LPB system to my WTC in about an hour. If you can measure and cut lengths of small diameter brass tubing, you have all the skills you need. It is the single greatest achievement of my sub-modeling career. The LPB is like stealing, because it's so good you can't help but feel guilty.

And I send your check ... where, Kerry?

(For the record: the 'inventor' of the LPB, as we apply the device, is Mike Caswell. I fought him tooth and nail over it but ... he's the Boss. Damn Britt's!)

              David,
              Who is John Galt?

                  David,
Hey, if Mike Invented it and he want's to use the British term 'Snort' then I think that's what it should be called. :D
Calling it a 'Snort' is a lot more Fun! :D LOL :D
