The Nautilus is one of my favorites as well. I tried to post the original photo in it's entirety, but no luck transferring the photo to the forum. Oh well!

If I didn't know better I would say that those pictures were professionally done. Looks just like the real thing.

I suppose using the right camera and lens is the key, yea, there's so much to learn about everything I get a headache thinking about it. I can't even spell correctly anymore. : (

Thanks, & Yea! The Nautilus is the next best thing to having a R/C Reptile, it projects sort of an Omni presence on the water.

Ditto, Mark. Great day, great weather, great video work on your part. Thanks!
Btw, I think you will like the underwater video footage taken of the Oscar. I'll be needing to get it downloaded/uploaded, whatever asap as well.

                      Al,

A good running video. Not perfect but illustrates well Al Nucci's Gato's capabilities.

I decided to add some additional detail to the Gato today, this based on a desire to simulate the appearance of the traditional outer torpedo doors quite often seen on some of the kits offered by companies such as Alexander Engel, and Revell.
In any regard, I gave it my best shot by outlining what I thought to be the basic configuration of the tubes as depicted on the Engel Gato model, and then attempted to duplicated the affects by routing out a layer of the fiberglass hull without completely puncturing the hull with my dremel, and various accessory tools, again simply hoping not to really screw up the bow of the boat altogether, Ha!
Is it the best that could be done, probably not , but ok for my pay grade. Someone once said, " All you can do is give it your all, " and then try to improve on that in the future.
A paint touch-up to the forward section is next. Hopefully it will turn out OK.
Most recent upgrades to ny Gato incl. propeller guards, and deck lanterns fore and aft.
My understanding has been that while the prop guards were generally taken off the boats as the war progressed, temporary guards had been placed back on when in port for repairs and such.
With that in mind I've fabricated the guards to be removable and only placed onto the model when shown in static display.

POI, I found that while the photo's may be hard to see, repeatedly clicking onto them will help to enlarge the original.
