    2019 Christmas Party Kraken Division

    ALCON,

We will be attending the Annual Empire State Model Mariners Christmas Party on 2019-12-06 @ 1830

    Location:
First Presbyterian Church of Whitestone, (basement)
    15-45 149th Street, Whitestone, NY

Also, this Saturday 2019-11-16 we are attending the LONG ISLAND MINIATURE MODEL SHOW in Freeport NY

Meeting at 0830 at the Imperial Diner in Freeport.

Main topic at breakfast will be the launching of the ADMIRALS DINNER.

For you folks who don't understand what that is, we plan to take the wives out for a "Dinner and a Show" to express our appreciation of their tolerance w/respect to our submarine shenanigans!

Dunno about the rest of you, but I'm losing hair where I want it, growing where I don't, and the noises are emanating from everywhere!

The local group ultimately decided to turn down the "Admiral's Dinner" suggestion, but I still took mine cuz she earned it due to my shenanigans!!

So the Sunday before last I took her to Wicked at the Gershwin Theater on Broadway: Front Row, Center.....

But I know she's a keeper, so this past Thanksgiving on the balcony of the apartment she up grew in and where we met some 43 years ago, I finally popped the question, and she said yes. (whew...)

            Congratulations!
(both getting engaged and being able to set up shelves for your subs)
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
