Yes, I was going to Google "Espadon" to see if they were sisters but I forgot. After I did I found out that it is not. All of the sisters of the Argonaute start with an "A". Im sure that they are similar though.

Here are the pictures of what I said was an italian NAZARIO SAURO CLASS. She's the LEONARDO DA VINCI at her launching day. have a look in the box on port quarter to identify her with the picture Greenman posted.
As a curiosity, a pictUre of Spanish Navy Submarine Base at Cartagena, in the early seventies. Three of the four GUPPYs we had (S32 ISAAC PERAL (EX USS396 RONQUIL); S34 COSME GARCÍA (EX USS385 BANG); S35 NARCISO MONTURIOL (EX USS368 JALLAO), and a DAPHNÉ (S64 NARVAL) in the background. You can also see a copule of FLETCHERS and a GREARING - FRAM II.
Excuse me for the poor quality of the pics, but they were scanned from old magazines.

Looking at these two pictures together and the surrounding cranes and features it looks like you are correct reddevil. Horray for magazine backissues. Looks like the bottom picture has a scaffold around the upper sail which makes it look different than the sail in the other picture.Last edited by greenman407; 06-22-2011, 10:53 AM.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment
