The new D&E 2.5 Sub-driver is a huge improvement on the 3" diameter system because it is smaller in diameter. This provides more annular space between the cylinder and inside of the hull for easier placement of weight and foam.
Though the 2.5 is less in diameter it has 1.5 more ounces of floodable volume in its ballast tank --this makes the SD adaptable to a wider selection of submarine hulls than the WTC-3 it replaces.
Here you can see all the parts required to get operational.
You can see the Snort tubes penetrating the end-cap. These are fitted with plastic tubes that run to the Snort Pump inside the Sub-driver. Externally, the plumbing block is fitted over them to redirect the tubes forward.
