Givens:
I have a Micro Viper 10 marine ESC.
I also have a "Nano ESC" from Caswell, which is said to be exactly like the Micro Viper 10. Will be using this one in my 1 1/4" SD. (Or, not???)
I have a Wfly 6-channel 75Mhz. TX ( Please don't tell me I should have gotten the 8-channel TX as I have no plans to ever need 8 channels!)
I have a recently purchased Lepton6 RX. (Crystal has been subsequently ordered!) Again, no "lecturing" about the 8-channel, please!
I have downloaded the "Wfly Radio System" setup info from the Caswell website, which deals with the 6-channel system.
Questions:
As I'm only utilizing motor control, rudder and rear dive planes on my current subs, according to the TX setup information,
FWD/Reverse are assigned to channel #3. However, in reading the "hints and tips" for the Micro Viper 10, the speed control
should be connected to channel 2!!?? This is a supposed "remedy" for the esc's led to stay on red. My question is, which is correct???
Channel 2, or channel 3?
Also, the Wfly setup calls for the rear dive plane servo to be connected to channel 2! Strange things hare afoot here!! The rudder is
assigned to channel 1. O.K.! No conflict there!
Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any information available for the "Nano ESC", but if it is, indeed, the same as
a Micro Viper 10, then I would assume (There's that nasty word again!) that everything should be the same! Should I consider that maybe
"assumption is the mother of all F***-ups"?? However, the "micro viper instruction sheet" refers to both "red" and "green" LEDs!! Huh???
Any help, and/or guidance, would be most appreciated!!
crazygary, dazed and confused!!!
