    Bubble-free resin casting

I remember reading an article in a modeling magazine that if you want a bubble-free resin casting you should de-gas the resin mixture in a vacuum pot prior to pouring to minimize bubbles.
Does anybody have experience with this technique? How does the finished casting compare with those using a pressure pot?
Make it simple, make strong, make it work!

You would need a resin with a LONG set time. That is why usually you will see rubber vacuumed and resin in a pressure pot.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
