I ditto that! My prayers are with you. Look forward to reports of no damage and no injury!
    Peace,
    Tom
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

        Enjoyed that, Andy. Thanks.

Report from Virgina Beach: close, but water did not get into the house.

        Good luck, New York!

Happy to hear you and Ellie are fine David. Nasty Atlantic blow indeed.

David, glad you and Ellie are safe. Glad the house remained dry, it was last year when Ellie was putting plastic up to protect the house from a hurricane.
Mike, please let us know you are O.K. our prayers are with you.
              Peace,

It was a dark and stormy night.

So far, all we can report is a small roof leak. Dol****** - I paid a roofer to fix this last year! What IS wrong with these people that they can't fix a drip!?

I like the howling wind at night, it's sort of cozy indoors.

You can see if we are still here tomorrow look at www.moonrakers.com/camera.php to see my backyard and the Erie Canal, in all it's storm fury!

Ellie was out in the rain again with the plastic band-aid. Ever try to stop a romping-stomping-angry Filipino gal who's made up her mind to do something?

Answer: You get out the *** way before you get hurt!

Anyway, just got through our most recent high-tide without incident, I think we're out of the woods here.

                  How you do'n, New York?

Looks like lower Manhattan and Battery Park as well as a bunch more is under water. 2 million out of electric power.

Not sure if these photos are fake or not, but they have been circulating the net as in New Jersey due to the storm surge.

Well! That was a rainy day or two! The roof leak incident was inconvenient. The cars got washed, my cat got damp, the pool cover roller fell in the pool (but only one end of it). I got a little wet going from the car to the bar!

Other than that, it was a real non-event up here in NY State. I guess the coastal communities weren't so lucky.

This couldn't be attributed to global warming by any chance? I know there are those that say it isn't happening, but we don't have much ice left on the polar caps. That couldn't be an indicator, could it?

Yep! A good rain storm gets all the dust and fluff off the roof and leaves no watermarks! Then I can use my favorite wax Collinite Marque D' ELegance

Artic summer ice has increased by 409,000 square miles, or 26 percent since 2007. Also, this kind of stuff happens when you live at or below sea level.
