I went to Sydney once on a sales training course, seem to remember seeing lots of mini skirted hookers on the streets around Soho. We (guys) sat in a cafe and timed them as they met someone, disappeared and then returned to take up their spot. I think it was about 8 minutes.

But it was a pretty place, lots of Jacaranda trees in bloom with this purple flower which contrasted with the red tiled roofs. Definitely a prettier city than Melbourne, but I did like the trams.
Mike - sounds like you were at ****ty Kings Cross...far more nicer spots of Sydney to enjoy.

Kings Cross! Yea! That was it! What a chuckle, although I didn't partake of the waters, if you get my drift! I'd only been married a few months! I spent most of my time in a skyscraper overlooking The Opera House. I traveled to & from Melbourne on the Silver Train. Or was it The Southern Aurora, or did that one go to Perth? I went there shortly after, so that's a blur. Three days on a train across the Nullabor plain. Camels in the desert - poverty stricken Aboriginals in the little railroad stations and many shacks along the track - 50 miles an hour - fascinating but weird!
