Visiting Melbourne and China

My wife and I will be in Melbourne for a couple of weeks after Sept 12th, so if anyone is floating any boats there I'd love to spend a little time meeting up.

Then we're off to China to drink Hermill's beer (ha! ha!) and see some sights there!

Mike, if you happen to be down in HKG / Macau, you'll want to bank a day or two to visit KY Model in Zhuhai & TianJie in Foshan. I'll see KY this week at SIME so let me know if you'd like to book an appointment to see their factory & have a peek at some of their new toys. Keep in mind the first week of Oct is National Week so most manufacturers are closed for holiday.

Get your arse on a cheap as chips internal flight with Virgin / Jetstar or better still negotiate that the airline your flying to Melbourne with throws in a SYD/MEL return leg.

Screw the Jag, I bought the last ever Saab 9-3 ever imported into Australia, runs on sugar cane by- product and goes 0-60Mph is 6 sec flat.

Having lived in both Melbourne and Sydney, Sydney ****s from a great height all over Melb, and is far more interesting and diverse for an International traveller.

Hmm! Good idea, I'll ask the missus about the flight. I had a SAAB once, it had 3 cylinders or something weird. It was nice, but not as pretty. I went to Sydney once on a sales training course, seem to remember seeing lots of mini skirted hookers on the streets around Soho. We (guys) sat in a cafe and timed them as they met someone, disappeared and then returned to take up their spot. I think it was about 8 minutes. :biggrin:

But it was a pretty place, lots of Jacaranda trees in bloom with this purple flower which contrasted with the red tiled roofs. Definitely a prettier city than Melbourne, but I did like the trams.
