    Viewing Pics posted by others

    Hi there all,

What do you need to do to view some of the attached pictures in some of the boards posts?
Some work and display with no issues. Others says "user does not have permission"

Is that related somehow to the amount of posts made or lack there of?

    Regards

If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

      Hi Tom,

This thread shows all the pics as "attached" rather than displayed automatically. Being a Type VII, I was really looking forward to viewing :-(

        Have you tried logging-in first?

You can read the articles without logging in but the photo attachments won't show.

            Nipah,
I followed the link you gave. The pictures are in thumbnails. You do not see those?

With my iPhone sometimes the photo attachments don't appear even when I'm logged in so I have to use my desktop or laptop to view them.

Interesting, not for you I am sure, but redcoat makes a good point with the iPhone not running something that prevents it from working. Are you using Internet Explorer and if so what version? Is it the most current patch? IE8 can sometimes have issues (not picking on IE - all browsers have their moments). To test and see if it is IE, try using Chrome or Firefox and see if the issue continues.
I use an Apple and am on Safari.

                  Let me know the results.
                  Peace,
                  Tom

Webmaster - If Snipah is using IE and switching browsers makes a difference would you check the settings in ATTACHMENTS>ATTACHMENT MANAGER the settings under both jpg and jpeg should be this: Content-type: image/jpeg Changing just the jpg field to Content-type: image/jpg and IE8 users could possibly not see attachments.

Did using a different browser fix the issue?
