Here are some shots of what I've been doing with the information you, and other kind-hearted guys, have provided me on the SKIPJACK periscope front:

Never too late -- I still have the second test-shot to critique coming in any day. Fortunately, this very rare shot of the sail upper surfaces confirms the mast arrangement developed for the Moebius kit.
You simply keep the good stuff coming. A great service to us all, Mark. Thank you so much.
I might be doing another master for Moebius soon, and I'll again be leaning on your photo-finding skills to help me flesh out the look of that project.
Don't drop dead, stroke out, or get into any other such nonsense; we have a lot of 1/72 kits to introduce to an unsuspecting world, and your services are required!
Now ...
... Watch what you eat and exercise! And send me your Facebook password -- I need to make sure you're morally clean, politically-correct, and never had bad things to say about the, Boss. Welcome to the 'new' America work-place.

Im interested in owning one of these Skipjacks with the new SAS Subdriver. Sorry, I dont do Facebook, this forum, I guess, is my Facebook. My health has actually improved since getting rid of some excess baggage(if you know what I mean). I hope to be around for a long....long time.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment

I think we can fix you up. Mark.
Good. You find the neatest stuff out there.

Yes, a 1/72 ALFA would seem to be the most likely follow-up to the SKIPJACK -- and thanks to Wayne Frey I have all the necessary documentation from which to build the scanning-model.
However, at the Chicago trade-show, where the SKIPJACK was first presented to the public, Moebius got a lot of requests for the NAUTILUS (the 571). And that is the next kit they want to produce if the SKIPJACK sales warrant it.
But, In keeping with the 'cold-war era' theme, I'm thinking of pitching them a 1/72 FOXTROT -- those magnificent looking boats almost started WW-3 and served under many Warsaw pack flags. The most impressive 'commie bad-guy' icon of the cold war, in my not so humble opinion.
However, I still need some good plans of the hull and sail; my file is far from the stage where I can launch into a master possessing the accuracy and detail this boat deserves. Mark: what can you find for me on those old beasts?
